For over 11 consecutive years, Darren Lee starred in the high-profile American Superstars show at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip. His record run in Las Vegas may never be surpassed and it all started when he won the World Elvis Contest in Memphis on the 20th Anniversary of Elvis’s death. Soon-after Darren joined the cast of the Vegas ensemble show which has seen many line-up changes over the years but Darren’s Elvis segment was a constant through the years bringing fans to their feet nightly with his powerful tribute to the King.
Some notable high-lights in Canada prior to his departure to the bright lights of Vegas include: Receiving the Tri-Cities Entertainer of the Year Award, along with a special recognition award as a result of his Memphis World Elvis Title. Darren was probably known best in the Vancouver area and the Elvis world as being the first Elvis tribute to completely re-create Elvis 1968 Comeback Special at the Queen Elizabeth and Michael. J Fox Theatre.
