Quickness (Alternative, Rock, Modern Pop) is known for their legendary live performances. One moment they’re launching into a high-energy punk rock anthem with shouted choruses, and the next they’re slowing it down with acoustic guitars and a reggae groove, dancing under the sun while the whole crowd sings along.
Their music is family-friendly, and they thrive on crowd interaction—getting audiences dancing, singing, and feeling part of the show in a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
Led by frontman Jacob Dryden, Quickness has earned six international radio awards and performed approximately 800 shows across Western Canada, bringing their vibrant energy to a wide variety of events. The band has released two full-length albums, with a third slated for release in Spring 2025.
Their latest single, “Training a Dog” (released November 2024), is in heavy rotation on Burnaby’s Evolution 107.9 FM and is gaining momentum on other West Coast stations. Their previous single, “Daydream,” debuted on Vancouver’s 102.7 The Peak in January 2022 alongside the release of its music video.
Quickness is equally celebrated for their original music and their dynamic takes on favorites, boasting a repertoire of over 500 cover songs (available on their website). In addition to concert and festival stages, they’ve appeared on live television, in major motion pictures, made-for-TV movies, and halftime shows at major sporting events.
The members of Quickness bring a rich blend of cultural backgrounds: Shiraz is Canadian/Pacific Islander, Jacob is Scottish-Irish-Canadian (Celtic), Aaron is French Canadian, and Devon is of Chinese, Goan, and European descent, with Canadian roots via Uganda.
