Joylyn Secunda is a Vancouver-based physical theatre artist whose work combines mime, movement, puppetry, and devised performance into clear, expressive storytelling. Raised in a performing arts family, they developed their solo practice through close collaboration with director David Secunda and choreographer Linda Arkelian.
In 2025, Joylyn toured their solo mime show The Routine at the Adelaide Fringe and across six Canadian cities. The production received five-star reviews from THE LIST (UK) and the Edmonton Journal, and earned four award nominations at the Montreal Fringe. In 2026, The Routine continues internationally with performances at FRINGE WORLD Perth, Adelaide Fringe, Newcastle Fringe, and Tuggeranong Arts Centre in Canberra.
Joylyn has also performed with the National Arts Centre, The Wonderheads, Presentation House Theatre, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, and Monster Theatre, and was mentored by Crystal Pite through the Startle Reflex Residency. They teach mime, puppetry, and physical theatre workshops and hold a BFA in Acting from UBC.
