Jay Esplana (“J-2”) is a dynamic keyboardist and vocalist from Vancouver, celebrated for his versatility and captivating stage presence. A graduate of Capilano University’s Jazz Studies program (Piano, 2014), Jay has become one of the city’s most in-demand musicians, performing across genres from jazz and funk to pop and rock.
He has been a fixture in leading bands such as Speakerbox, The Airtights, Groove & Tonic, Jay Leonard Juatco Trio, No Island, and Electric Ballroom, showcasing his ability to seamlessly adapt to any style. As a founding member of Trilojay, Jay brings infectious energy to stages across Canada and has performed halftime shows for the BC Lions and the Canucks. Today, he continues to inspire audiences with his artistry, charisma, and passion for live music.
