Formed in 1992 specifically for the Vancouver/Whistler special events market, The Way Cool Revue has performed over 500 shows. This versatile band plays classic C&W, contemporary country pop, plus 50's rock'n roll, R&B and more. The Way Cool Revue can be tailored to meet your specific needs from acoustic strolling background music to high energy country pop dance music.


The Way Cool Revue is a versatile dance band comprised of some of Vancouver's top musicians. The members of Way Cool are:

Bruce Coughlan is a true bard (a collector of songs) and the founding member of Way Cool. Bruce's musicianship began in the popular BC bands Bare Facts, The Hightops and on his solo CD Any Day Soon. Since then he has become recognized in the industry as a versatile singer, guitarist and entertainer.

Nolan Murray is one of the most in demand multi-instrumentalists in the Pacific Northwest and has recorded, toured, and performed with many top Canadian and American artists. He has throughout his career won numerous awards and nominations for his stellar musicianship.





Laurence Knight is a musician with the incredible depth of over 30 years of professional performing and recording experience. During this time he has performed with many of the brightest lights of the Vancouver music scene and had the opportunity to produce and session with numerous projects.

Chris Nordquist is regarded by many of his peers as one of the greatest drummers ever in the genre. He has performed with blues legends Jay McShann, Taj Mahal, Pine Top Perkins, and John Hammond Jr. He was featured on the Juno winning album "National Steel" by Colin James and Colin Linden.
