Fear No Ice is the world’s first and only performance ice sculpting company, created by Scott Rella, Kevin Roscoe and Peter Slavin. Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant fiddler, step-dancer, singer, and composer from the West Coast of British Columbia. She delivers an engaging and uplifting performance of original and traditional music, inspired by the Celtic and folk music cultures of Canada’s Cape Breton and Québec, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany (France), and Galicia (Spain). Whether as a solo fiddle player, duo with guitarist or full band, Jocelyn Pettit will provide a truly Canadiana experience.

A stirring rendition of O Canada and/or The Star Spangled Banner is the perfect beginning to your business session. In addition to being proper protocol, the national anthems set a warm tone for any opening ceremony. The Canadian National anthem is usually sung in both English and French giving international delegates a real sense of our country. Opening ceremonies can be enhanced with the Vancouver Police Pipe Band.

The Multicultural Drum Spectacular is perfect for a short, colourful and dramatic opening to an opening business session or a high energy performance presented between courses during a gala dinner. The drum ensembles include First Nations Drummers showcasing Canada’s Aboriginal culture plus the Chinese Lion Dance and a Japanese Drum Troupe celebrating Vancouver as the gateway to the Pacific Rim. The exciting percussion revue also includes Latin and Brazilian Drummers in addition to South Asian Dohl Drummers.

The New Shackletons are a high-energy, up-tempo, barn-burning duo/trio playing retro Rockabilly & Country versions of classic and contemporary music. The duo started out backing a number of artists on the BC Country scene and realized how well they performed together. Since then they have played festivals, weekly club residencies, and even barn dances. The New Shackletons also perform classic country tunes and country-infused pop songs that they’ve coined “Rebel Country”.

Peaks of Performance is an entertaining, inspirational and motivational musical revue featuring two dynamic singers and an energetic six member dance troupe. This choreographed high energy theatrical presentation showcases music and songs complementing the REACH FOR THE SUMMIT theme from classic songs like “Higher & Higher” by R&B Legend Jackie Wilson to today’s powerful pop tunes like “Try” by Pink.

Based in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, the RCMP “E” Division Pipe Band was formed in April, 2006, and is the newest of the seven RCMP Pipe Bands currently active in Canada.The band is comprised of both police and civilian volunteers from throughout British Columbia, who have come together to share and showcase their musical talent, and to bring the community closer to its national police force.

Runaway Lane is a fun, fast, rocking country act from Vancouver. Over the past few years the guys have performed at numerous major events including the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, Cloverdale Rodeo and The BC Lions Street Parties plus top C&W bars like Gabby’s & Roosters. Runaway Lane’s reputation for showmanship, big smiles, and great live performances continues to win over countless fans.

Spirit Song celebrates the heritage of Canada’s aboriginal people. It is a colourful, authentic revue that showcases songs, dances and rituals of many different First Nations peoples. These traditional elements can be combined with high energy songs from contemporary Native artists.

This colourful troupe has performed throughout B.C., across Canada, and internationally at cultural festivals in such countries as Switzerland, Taiwan, and Japan. They are well known for their presentations at the Hiwus Feast House on top of Grouse Mountain and have entertained many tourists with their beautiful mask dances. The dance group consists of elders and youth of the Squamish Nation.

White Thunder Dance Theatre was founded in 1987 by Champion Hoop dancer Gary Abbott. The goal of the group is to promote First Nations culture within their own culture and with all cultures. The theatre troupe, based in Chilliwack BC, is made up of dancers from all over our province. They have traveled and performed throughout North America sharing their songs.

Elder Bob Baker is an articulate moving speaker whose prayer song and welcome address will create the perfect opening for your event. The Talking Stick is a ceremonial carving that has been used by the Native community for generations. The holder of the Talking Stick is respectfully given the right to address the tribe. As part of Bob Baker’s welcome, he outlines the creatures carved into the Talking Stick and presents it to your MC or President.

Arnie Leon (Lek’hoosh) is a Sts’ailles First Nations Dancer who plays the traditional Native Flute. Flute playing has been a part of Aboriginal cultures from South America to the Arctic tundra. The flute was traditionally used in storytelling, courtship, healing and entertainment. Arnie creates a truly Canadian soundscape with his beautiful delicate sounds of the First Nations wooden flute.

The Wild Moccasin Dancers are a dynamic collective that display the beauty and vibrancy of pow wow culture through dance.  Together they have danced for 25 plus years. The Wild Moccasin Dancers are an intertribal dance troupe that live work and play on the unceded Coast Salish Territories.

The Tiller’s Folly performs a wonderful blend Canadian Celtic and Folk music that captures the spirit of British Columbia. Their songs tell stories from the early Voyageur days on the Mighty Fraser River to the exciting Gold Rush times of the early settlers and the early history of The B.C. Railway. Tiller’s Folly will provide the perfect background music for a welcome reception or an engaging final night concert.
